What – Sailing from the Marina – leaving at 3:00 pm, Fun sailing at Chief Tim all afternoon, Dinner @ 6:00pm.

Once again the Club will provide hotdogs, buns and drinks.  If your last name starts with A-L please bring a dessert, M-Z please bring a salad.  OK?

Wes, Mary and Tim will have tales from the San Juan 21 Western Nats.

Committess for the 34th Annual Tribune Cup Regatta (Sept 19-20) need to be formed.  NOR, Race Committee, T-shirts, Trophies, and Food all need to be planned and coordinated.

‘09 Commodore Tim

We had a great full moon race this year. The weather was mostly nice with 6 boats participating in the event. We had Randy Blair on Mantis, Mary McCollum sailing Grace, Robbie Johnson on Pneuma, Greg Umbright on 4Sail, Dan Dorne on his Hunter 212 and Jeff Hanson sailing Vindr Knifr.

Wind was light most of the night but unlike other full moon races there was enough to at least keep moving. We were the last boat to turn at Wawaiwai around 4:30. Mantis in her usual fashion took off down the river moving easily in the light breeze with Grace shadowing along behind leading the mono hulls down the river. The rest of the mono’s accordioned closing and opening up as each boats strengths and weakness’s were shown by the wind conditions with Pneuma, 4Sail, Vindr Knifr and the Hunter making the Wawaiwai turn within 10 minutes of each other. LCSA Monthly Meeting/Picnic.
July 11th – Chief Timothy Park – 5:00pm
NOTE EARLIER TIME ! ! !
Once again the Club will be hosting with hot dogs and beverages.  Everyone is encourage to bring a small side dish.  To avoid last months 13 tubs of potato salad (OK, it was only 4 Costco size ones) if your last name starts with A-L please bring a salad, M-Z please bring a dessert.  OK?

We will have hot coals available, so if you don’t want hot dogs feel free to bring your own grillin’ food.

Moonlight Race/Challenge
July 11/12 – Chief Timothy Park – 5:30pm
The start of this year’s race coincides with the Club Picnic.  We are hoping to have a Le Mans style start with all the crews gathering in the picnic area for the start. Upon the start signal, crews will  head for their boats, cast off and start racing while being cheered on by the rest of the more sane memebrs of the Club – further details will be released soon.
